Valentine Card

Love this card I made for my granddaughter. I used the retired Stampin' Up! set "All Wrapped Up" jar, printing on the paper first, then printing and embossing it on vellum and cutting it out. I then punched hearts out with the new Heart to Heart punch. Using only the smallest heart I filled the jar and then let them spill out - placed the vellum jar over and made it look like you really were looking into a jar. I added the love you from the Happy Heart Day stamp set.

I just got the All Wrapped Up set off Ebay and I just love it! Can't wait to make many more fun cards with this set - it was way before my time as a demo but in my opinion it should never have been retired! It won't ever be at my house - lol.

Oops!

I sent this card to my granddaughter (17) after I had forgotten to send something to her. Better late than never and I think she enjoyed the card. I'm usually a neat freak, but on this one I tried to make the entire card look as distressed as I was over my forgetfulness - I think it worked.

Sally's Stamp Club

What fun I had tonight! Well, I guess it's last night now, but still only a few hours ago. LOL I went to visit another Stamp Club tonight and as always got lots of fresh new ideas. We made three fabulous cards and, of course, I found another stamp set I just can't live without! Well, here are the cards and I'm heading to bed - tomorrow is another day and I have a friend coming over at 11:00 to stamp! Wow this has or should I say will be the "bestest" stamping week ever.

Christmas Card Challenge

Last night was the first night of my group Christmas Card Challenge (CCC) and we had a very fun productive evening and I think we all accomplished our set goal. I know I got my ten cards completed, even if I did work way past the time everyone else left. Guess I'm just slow or maybe I just talked too much. LOL Anyway, six of us have set the challenge to meet once a month and make a minimum of ten Christmas cards. Meeting February - November we will each have at least 100 cards ready to send my Thanksgiving! Yea - that really takes the pressure off. I think I will do like last year and make a variety of different cards, but one never knows - we will just have to wait and see. But for now here's card #1!

Stamp Club - February 10

Well, it's the 15th so I'm a little late getting this up, but here it is. We had a very good time with special nibbles brought by Megan. This was the first time we gathered after Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration began and everyone was ready to buy! We used some of the paper from the Sale-a-bration catalog and it was a hit. I love it - great spring colors. We also used the Big Shot in several ways = the top note, the new, great butterly die and the movers and shapers Curly label die. All three of these Sizzix dies are Stampin' Up! exclusives.

We also used the very versatile stamp set "Just Buzzin' By" - that one has so many possiblities for sentiments on the inside of the card! I cased my card from Lynda Lee on Splitcoaststampers. Funny how we boh had the same Fiskars texture plate on a shelf collecting dust.
