Catching Up - January Stamp Club

Hard to believe it's already the end of January - seems like only yesterday that we blew the horns, kissed our loved ones and welcomed in 2009. The way time is flying it will soon be time to do it again.

I haven't posted since January 6 - what am I thinking? We have a new Stampin' Up Idea Book & Catalog filled with great new stamps, accessories and tools and I have lots of pictures to add of cards and projects.
January 13 was our monthly stamp club. We have two groups now, an afternoon group and an evening group. We made a valentine usng the new Love You Much bundle from Stampin' Up. What a great deal - a punch (three hearts) fabulous paper and a stamp set to die for, well not really, but you know what I mean - it's very cool.

We made a birthday card with the new level 3 hostess set, Goody Goody Gumdrops. We made a birthday card using the ice cream stamp and put a cherry on top - a very fun set. I cased the idea for the ice cream birthday card from Terri Thill-Splitcoast Stampers Gallery. We also made a small box filled with candy hearts, but alas I forget to take a picture of my sample. Oh well, next time.
As something new I am going to start listing the supplies used for each card pictured. Everything used is Stampin' Up unless specified.

My Birthday Calendar

I don't know about you, but remembering birthdays is a tough job for me. That's not good for someone in the card (stamping) business, so when I saw this perpetual birthday calendar in the Stampin' Up catalog I jumped on it. I'm hoping that once I have all of the birthdays written in I will be able to make up my cards the month before and have them ready to start mailing the beginning of each month! I may be asking a lot from this one little calendar, but I had a blast decorating the cover and the pages and you have to admit my intentions are great! I also added anniversaries for friends and family. These would make a great gift for yourself or a friend - check them out in the catalog and add them to your next order. Just a thought but you might want to make sure you're on my calendar if you want to get a bd card in 2009!Posted by Picasa
